  • Post#4-My first contribution to Polyglots

    Date: July 25, 2026 | Reading time: 2 minutes.

    Context:
After selecting the Plugins section, the next step was to submit my translation suggestions into Costa Rican Spanish (es_CR) for the plugin Bit Flows: AI Agent Automation & Integrations for Forms, CRM, eCommerce, Google Sheets, and More.

    Procedure:

I went to the list of pending strings (Untranslated) for a plugin.

I selected an English phrase and checked to see if there were any terms in the official glossary.

I entered my translation and clicked “Suggest.”

    Challenges:
The biggest challenge was avoiding a literal translation and making sure the phrase sounded natural in the local technical context. It was also a new discovery that changes aren’t applied immediately

    Lessons Learned:
I understood the approval process: my suggestions are set to “Waiting” status until a translation editor validates them and marks them as approved.

    Reflection:
It was rewarding to submit my first actual contribution. I’ve already gotten the hang of the platform and understand how the tool works, so reaching my final translation goal will just be a matter of maintaining a steady pace
